Professionalism Course
Welcome, this page will help you understand the professionalism course requirements under Rule 45, Ariz.R.S.Ct., which mandates that every active member take a course on professionalism. You only have to take the Course one time upon admittance to the Bar.

Licensed prior to January 1, 1992
When first initiated the requirement applied to existing members based on the first initial of his or her last name. The Rule required all attorneys licensed prior to January 1, 1992 complete the course as follows:

Last names begin with
A-F
G-K
L-P
Q-S
T-Z

should have completed by
June 30, 2000
June 30, 2001
June 30, 2002
June 30, 2003
June 30, 2004

Licensed after January 1, 1992
Rule 45 also mentions completion of the Professionalism Course in satisfaction of Rule 34(e). Rule 34 says that new admittees must take the professionalism course within the first year of admittance to the Bar.
