| MCLE Requirements and Deadlines |
|
Welcome to the MCLE Deadlines page. This page is designed to give the members an understanding of the dates and deadlines associated with MCLE and the various fees associated with late compliance and filing. It also provides a list of helpful hints and helpful people to assist you in complying with your MCLE requirements. Dates and DeadlinesYour annual compliance period is July 1 to June 30 and your affidavits must be postmarked by September 15 of each year to avoid the fees in Rule 45(d). If you have failed to meet your deadlines, please communicate with us so that we may have the opportunity to guide you into compliance. The online electronic affidavit is available in mid-July. The electronic affidavit automatically populates with your name, Bar number, address, and all of your State Bar CLE. You enter any other events. The computations of hours and carryover are made automatically for you. Electronic filing updates your record in real time, and there is no requirement to mail the affidavit. Another option is to print off a blank affidavit from the website, complete and mail it. The third option is the blank affidavit in the Arizona Attorney magazine issued in mid-August. Lastly, a blank affidavit will be mailed to you in late August if you have not filed electronically, or if your mailed affidavit has not been processed.
FeesThere are two fees associated with MCLE compliance. There is a delinquent compliance fee and a delinquent filing fee. Pursuant to Rule 45(d) any member who does not comply with the educational requirements by June 30 of each year or does not file an affidavit by September 15 of each year is subject to delinquency fees. Fees are as follows: Delinquent Compliance fees. Any member who does not comply with the educational requirements by June 30 of the educational year is subject to the following delinquent compliance fees:
Delinquent Filing fees. Any member who does not file their affidavit by September 15 of each educational year is subject to the following delinquent filing fees:
Failure to file your affidavit by December 15 may result in your name being forwarded to the Board of Governors for summary suspension. Please see Rule 45(h), Ariz.R.S.Ct. Helpful Hints
