The State Bar Board of Governors created the Ethics Committee to provide assistance to State Bar members in the resolution of questions of professional ethics. Ethical guidance may consist of formal or informal opinions or telephone advice in response to members who present questions of professional ethics with respect to their own prospective conduct. The Committee policy is to keep confidential the identity of inquiring attorneys and correspondence between them and the Committee.
